[Purpose] Network businessmen are the main body of new business civilization. Researching development approaches for network businessmen is helpful for network businessmen improving overall quality, and building a new business civilization which is open, transparent, sharable, and responsible for network businessmen. [Method] By analyzing problems of network businessmen during their development under new business civilization, the network businessmen development approaches are put forward according to the followings: fostering electronic commerce talents, improving enterprise's informationalization level, enhancing the logistics service quality, and perfecting the policies and regulations environment. [Results]With the internet popularized and customers are used to purchase online, powerful purchase and reliance have been formed, which lift greatly the number of intra-area network businessmen. Meanwhile, there have emerged a great number of successful star network businessmen among the group of network businessmen. [Conclusions] Researching development approaches for network businessmen is helpful for network businessmen select right development direction and realize the enhancement from personal to enterprise network businessmen, from single network businessmen to electronic commerce industry and from electronic commerce industry to national competitiveness.
