Based on the physical modeling of the improved muffler in this paper, Methods for internal acoustic computation of the muffler with SYSNOISE software based on Indirect Boundary Element Method are introduced and the rationality of the improved modal validated by the computation results in this paper, which may be a credible guidance of the muffler improving design.
