The IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) is a basis for a significant new architecture which offers network operators the opportunity to expand their services, by integrating voice and multimedia communications and delivering them into new environments with new purposes. Therefore its security is very important. However, IMS is a network with open architecture based on IP, which brings a lot of security issues. Based on ITU-TX.805 recommendation, this paper establishes a comprehensive vulnerability analysis of IMS network. All security dimensions will be applied to the different layers/planes security of the IMS network, and threat scenarios will be illustrated.
