In this research, the authors study the impact of a controlling parameter on system performances of our previously proposed heuristic channel-aware scheduling algorithm. In addition, parameter optimisation for a combined performance measure is also discussed. The investigation is carried out through numerical simulations via ns-2. When compared with other algorithms, the proposed algorithm uniformly shows the best performance, with the performance gain being more evident for bad channel. The findings are useful for system designers.
