This paper studied the control strategy for fuel injection impulse width based on an electronic fuel injection (EFI) motorcycle engine 156FMI. The basic fuel injection impulse width and correcting factors were calibrated by experiments. And it was gained the basic fuel injection impulse width MAP and series of correcting factors, including post start correction factor, warm-up correction factor, injection pressure correction factor, A/F closed-loop control correction factor, transient condition correction and battery voltage correction. The results show that the performance of power, fuel consumption and exhaust emission of electronic control engine developed are better than that of original carburetor engine, and the exhaust pollutant emissions of EFI motorcycle meet the requirements of Chinese Phase IΠ emission standard.
