Aiming at the problems of spatial decision support systems of mineral resources evaluation designed by traditional software development model, a new idea is proposed to design the spatial decision support systems of mineral resources evaluation using service-oriented architecture (SOA) technology. And then the development idea of SOA is formed to build spatial decision support systems of mineral resources evaluation based on the analysis of the SOA structure and key technologies. Finally the overall structure and functional module is designed under the guidance of the above idea.
