Every design of living construction in the frigid zone is related to not only the effects of saving energy, but also the thousands of people's benefits. The balcony, as one part of living construction, is changing and developing according to its function, raw material, and physical environment . We will adopt the methods of investigating the different development stages of balconies, testing on the spot and analyzing the relative data in order to build a healthy, economical and comfortable living environment. The results of the study will provide the design basis for the living construction, and also provide the design plan to build comfortable and economical balconies for living construction in frigid zones.
