This article discusses the development and implementation of megawatt-class wind turbine fault monitoring system. This system merges the GSM communication technology, DSP control technology, computer networking technology, integrated display technology and information management technology into one organic, and has carried on a comprehensive wireless remote monitoring and control to the wind turbine. The paper emphatically introduces the structure composition of the fault monitoring system, the design and implementation of GSM short message module and other technological problems, analyzes the hardware circuit design of entire GSM module, short message encoding method and the methods of transmitting and reading short message, and has given the related realized procedures.
