LOD visual simulation method which can make battle-simulation visualization, is an important method for building view-scene model. In this paper, a modified visual simulation method based on LOD is proposed. The master idea is generating initial triangle grids for view-scene using LOD method, and subdividing them using iterative fractal technology. The method not only resolves visual transition problem for different detail regions, and gets more vivid 3D view-scene by means of visual rendering, but also improving the capability of view simulation system in total. Simulation result shows the improvement performance is 3.86%.the result has been important military value in battle command.
