Recently, a lot of hybrid methods, which combine case-based reasoning (CBR) with a genetic algorithm GA, have been suggested in product designing. However, the suggested methods perform poorly in case of creative designing. In this paper, a novel simultaneous optimization method is proposed, which combine CBR and GA with an algorithm process for simulation of directed similarity association according to human being's thought models. Experimental results show that the new hybrid model outperforms other conventional approaches to creative design.
