The two-wave spatial squared correlation function is useful for designing large sparse diversity arrays that are alias-free and have both low average and low peak correlations. The largest 12 element example found to satisfy requirements with no grating lobes is a non-uniform Y array of diameter 18lambda. Additional cases can be designed and analyzed using the correlation technique presented above.
