A high frequency mixer topology is presented for the realization of a 1 GHz upconversion mixer in a standard 0.7 μm CMOS technology. The high output bandwidth is achieved by the development of an nMOS only current amplifier to convert the modulated current of an nMOS transistor in the linear region to an output voltage
