An Interface between the Situation Calculus and Logic Programming

We elaborate in this paper on the idea of translating situation calculus specifications intologic programs, thus making these specifications executable. We show a Topor-Lloyd-likeprocedure that transforms situation calculus specifications, mainly intended to stem fromdatabase environments, into logic program rules that can be subsequently executed or thatcould be transformed into deductive or relational database programs. Basically we stressthe concept of query safeness, that is central in the database context and we combine forthat purpose the concepts of allowed formula [6] and of simple formula [13] into a formalframework with a formal logic programming semantics.
