The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) was established in 1970 when the concern for protecting natural environment became intense in the United States. The agency has successfully fulfilled a number of programs since its birth and has contributed to the conserving and protecting nature. However, the agency has become more and more bureaucratic while losing its environmental ethic. This paper tries to examine the problems of the EPA and evaluate its effectiveness.
