A new generalized GM(1,1) model based on the traditional GM(1,1) model or GGNNM(1,1) model is presented in this paper. The new forecasting model combines the generalized GM(1,1) model and the theory of neural network. The algorithm is given out to solve this new model. Finally, this new model is applied in forecasting the amount of mine gas emission. The forecasting results show that the GGNNM(1,1) model has the advantages in applicability, high forecasting precision and simple in computing.
