Digital watermarking has been proposed to increase the digital data security, confidentiality and integrity. However in the area of CAD/CAM geometric models there are no effective ways to protect the copyright of 3D geometric models. As a first step to solve this problem a new novel watermarking method for 3D polygonal models is introduced. The proposed watermarking is based on lazy wavelet transformation and MRR of the polygonal model.
