The design of a common-gate LNA for the wideband applications is discussed in this paper. First, the effect of the different components in matching network is analyzed in detail. This is followed by the design of a wideband input matching and output signal current for the input stage. A design example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented theory.
