We have demonstrated an Yb:YAG thin disk amplifier capable of delivering picosecond pulses at a repetition rate of up to 200 kHz. At 1030 nm a maximum average power of 62 W and a maximum output energy of 2.3 mJ have been achieved. Extracavity frequency doubling is performed using a BiBO crystal. Reaching conversion efficiencies up to 60% an average power of 28.5 W and a maximum pulse energy of 1.1 mJ at 515 nm have been generated.
