Discrete manufacturing process is not continuous, and the stage, the process stalled and there were obviously waiting time. Orders faced the discrete manufacturing enterprises are characterized by many varieties and small batch production. In this form of production, there are many internal problems that is necessary to use modern means to work out in logistics management. This paper studies TaiYuan Heavy Machine Group Co., Ltd.. that products are large crane, spaceflight launch support, stage equipment and so on. Combination the characteristics of discrete manufacturing and information gathered for this study. The problem of internal logistics system has been summarized, according to those problem, the backbone flowchart of the logistics management information system (LMIS) was put forward and introduce advanced management mode -- project management; based on this flowchart, LMIS model is designed; Large-scale network data transmission is indispensable in LMIS, so to ensure the security of network data, security strategy of the LMIS implementation should be constructed which include safety guiding ideology, technical support system, management mechanism, and staff training. In the final paper, series of benefits can be quantified of implementation LMIS will be given to further illustrate the effectiveness of the LMIS.
