This paper discusses the effective coding of Rijndael algorithm, advanced encryption standard (AES) in hardware description language, Verilog. The paper gives rationale of each and every transformation done in the algorithm. It also gives ideas for saving time and complexities in S-box implementation. Some simulation results from my own implementation are given for elaborating the high security level of this algorithm.
