New type of coplanar ring resonator designed on base so-called "nonregular included" line is considered. Nonregular line (NRL) resonators demonstrate the higher quality factor and less dimensions in comparison with conventional ring resonators, and can be used in pass-band filters for cellular phone communication systems (0.8-2GHz). Formulas allowing to define the resonance frequency and Q-factor of NRL resonators are presented. Data of the experimental research of a set of NRL resonators with different sizes and materials (copper and superconductive films) are in a good agreement with theoretical results. The power handling capability for superconductive NRL resonators is estimated. Narrow-band four-pole copper film and high-Tc superconducting film filters based on NRL resonators were designed and tested.
