This paper illustrates and discusses the effect of several AC and HVDC system parameters on subsynchronous damping of power system on frequency range between 5 and 35 Hz. All the studies presented in this paper have been performed using simple and general power system model suitable for transient analysis of subsynchronous torsional interaction caused by HVDC.
