We derive a modified version of the cubic convolution scaler for the enlargement or reduction of digital images by arbitrary scaling factors. The cubic convolution scaler is modified to enhance the edge information. While the conventional scheme is applied to uniform sampled data, the proposed scheme can be used for non-uniform sampled data.
