Implementation of the vector tetrahedral finite element method for high-frequency electromagnetic field simulation is described. Sets of probe functions for various orders' of approximation are defined and matrix equations corresponding to electromagnetic boundary problem are presented. It is shown that hierarchical vector finite elements of order 1 1/2 provides more then 20 times less approximation error than usually used mixed Whitney elements and makes possible substantial reduction of mesh size and computation time.
