Convergence analysis for adaptive distributed decorrelators in both additive white Gaussian noise and fading channels is presented. The adaptive distributed decorrelators combines spatial diversity and decorrelators. The performance of decorrelators do not depend on the other users' energies and the other users' fading characteristics. The blind adaptive diversity combining scheme based on stochastic gradient techniques is formulated using optimal likelihood ratio testing criterion, and its convergence is analyzed theoretically and is demonstrated by numerical example. The proposed method is suitable for real-time implementation and can provide a significant receiver performance and system capacity gain.
