In this paper an algorithm is presented for a parametric state-space H frequency response approximation using convex optimization. This inherently nonconvex optimization problem is rewritten as a bilinear matrix inequality (BMI) optimization problem. A convex relaxation is proposed together with an iterative approach. The approach is demonstrated by a simple, multivariable example.
