Rational polynomial Laplace transform approximations for truncated versions ofsin (kt + b)/(kt + b)are produced by use of a nonlinear programming technique designed to help avoid the usual false minimum problems. An economical network synthesis technique for realization of the nonminimum phase functions thus produced is also shown.
