Modeling of energy limited units in the reliability evaluation of multi-area electrical power systems

An analytical approach based on the concept of peak shaving is presented for multi-area generating systems reliability evaluation incorporating the effects of limited energy availability. The proposed method provides more realistic means of calculating generation system reliability indices and could serve as a useful planning tool.<
