Global optimalization in CFAR system and data fusion to merge detection of extractors of the 2.5D surveillance radar

In February 1946 Zoltan Bay, a Hungarian radar scientist succeeded in getting an echo from the Moon. In the period when the US Army Signal Corps project Diana also detected an echo from the Moon. Today Hungarian radar designers would like to achieve new success in the field of radar data fusion. In this article our aim is to develop and analyse new signal processing algorithms which are capable of collecting or making optimal data fusion of five collected radar signals in order to increase the probability of target detection and decrease the false alarm rate. The radar used for measurements is equivalent to 5 co-located radar working at different frequencies, with different elevation pointing. The detection of these 5 radar is fused to obtain global data on wider elevation coverage. The average beam coverage coefficient can be greater than three by optimal adjustment of the antenna system can.
