It is difficult for the mobile host to reserve a route for real-time services using the cache renewal process due to frequent registration in the Mobile IP environment. The transmission delay time and blocking probability of a datagram are increased as a result of the frequent change of transmission path, for instance frequent handoff. Therefore, for the purpose of continuous real-time service support in the case that the agent for the mobile host is changed, it must be required that a new path is established between MN and agent as fast as possible. This paper proposes an efficient handoff processing method that supports real-time services in the wireless mobile communication environment using RSVP and Mobile IP
