About the possibility of overcurrent power semiconductor protection using controlled fusing

The paper refers to ultrafast fuse cartridges meant to protect both power semiconductor converters and power semiconductor devices against overloads and short-circuit fault conditions. This new type of fuse offers the possibility of modelling of the protection characteristic to provide the protection function of electrical apparatus used at the moment.
