The coexistence of UTRA-TDD and FDD system in the adjacent channel is investigated in this paper. Different interference cases between the UTRA-TDD and FDD system are given. The UTRA-TDD and the UTRA-FDD have some adjacent channel interference if they use the adjacent carrier. Some simulations are done to study the interference and the Coexistence of UTRA-TDD and FDD system in the adjacent channel for the hierarchical cellular structure and the different ACIR value of BS-BS, MS-MS and BS-MS are taken into account
