The use of the image restoration technique of iterative inverse filtering to enhance recorded thermal images is discussed. Potential problems encountered in thermographic imaging are discussed. It is shown how the camera point spread function and slit response functions can be determined. Evaluation of the technique using a calibrated aluminum target is described
