The previously discovered convolutional self doubly orthogonal codes (CSO2C) can be advantageously used in an iterative decoding technique introduced as a simplification of turbo codes. We present an analysis of the performance of this novel iterative decoding algorithm when CSO2Cs are punctured and when M-ary modulation is used
