Summary form only given. Many materials and devices have been proposed to generate THz-radiation with excitation by femtosecond pulses laser. THz radiation from electrically biased quantum wells, coupled quantum wells and microcavities had been known from the exciton absorption or charge oscillations. However, THz-radiation with spectral dependence from multiple quantum wells (MQWs) by applying magnetic field had not been reported from our knowledge. We demonstrate the THz-radiation from excitons in strained MQWs by applying a 1 T magnetic field with different incident angle to characterize the sample. THz radiation from bulk semi-insulating GaAs had also been measured for the comparison. The strained MQWs sample was used as 10 pairs In/sub x/Al/sub 1-x-y/Ga/sub y/As/Al/sub 0.25/Ga/sub 0.75/As strained quantum wells which is grown on a -oriented semi-insulating GaAs substrate by MBE growth. The photo-luminescence (PL) spectrum is presented.
