This paper examines the data-link layer performance of a modified advanced time division multiple access (ATDMA) protocol in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system when at operation in an indoor wireless environment. in particular, the paper examines the aspects of the modified ATDMA protocol on which system designers should concentrate to obtain its most efficient operation. The performance analysis was performed by a Monte Carlo simulator. The system model includes Rice fading, log-normal shadowing, distance dependent path loss and cochannel interference. The system model also considers preferential channel access based on the capture effect
