The development of a discrete transform technique suitable for the solution of electrical networks and general systems of integro-differential equations is described. The technique is as easy to apply as Laplace transforms but, since it operates throughout in the time domain, it does not require an inverse transform. Examples of the discrete transform method are shown and comparisons with other methods are made. It is demonstrated that the performance of the discrete method is close to that of the third order Gear method, but with additional advantages in problem formulation and ease of computation.
