3-D anisotropic vector Preisach models of hysteresis are discussed, and the identification problem of fitting these models to experimental data is posed. By using some simple facts from the theory of irreducible representations of the group of rotations, it is shown that this identification problem can be reduced to the solution of some special integral equations. Different techniques for the solution of these equations are explored
