A design method for narrowband suspended substrate stripline band-pass filters is presented. A generalized Chebyshev or Cauer low-pass prototype filter can be used, providing a suitable form of realization in suspended substrate technology. This design method is based on using Norton's equivalencies and calculating value of optimal redundancy parameter to get a network with a minimum spread of element values. Results from the designed device show that the method of realizing such a filter is viable for many applications
