In this paper, we proposed a new algorithm based on the modern heuristic method to build restoration procedures for a distribution network in case of a large-scale outage. This new algorithm is named 'dynamic area determination algorithm based on incremental expansion approach.' This algorithm is based on an optimization approach. Experiments with an actual scale distribution network show that available restoration procedures can be provided within reasonable time
