Summary form only given. In this paper, we demonstrate a WDM fibre network noise prefiltering method using a bandpass filter before four-wave mixing. This approach is very robust, because the filtering is unaffected by drifting of the wavelengths of the input signals. Using this approach, we achieve all-optical wavelength shifting over 9 nm at 2.5 Gbit/s with low power penalty for a wide input-power dynamic range.
