This paper reports the experimental results of DOA estimation and BER improvement using an adaptive array antenna system. We evaluate the accuracy of the DOA estimation outdoors using the MUSIC, ESPRIT, and fast DOA algorithms. Moreover, we show the improvement of the BER performance through the beamforming control of the adaptive array antenna with the directionally constrained minimization power (DCMP) algorithm
