An investigation on the impact of mixed traffic on UTRA performance is presented. The competition for resource between different types of services affects their individual throughput/delay characteristics and that of the overall system. The objective of the work is to characterise the diverse operating points of UTRA, providing reference data for radio resource management optimisation
