A standard multipurpose fax processor

A standard multipurpose facsimile processor aimed at adding facsimile functions to a variety of information processing systems has been developed. All the facsimile functions have been implemented on a single LSI chip, and integrated flow control was used to make this easier. The authors have also developed libraries for the basic facsimile functions, including CPUs, DMA controllers, compression functions, and serial control functions.<
