BDTE MRG (bulk data transfer extension for minimum rate guarantee) is a TCP extension to guarantee a minimum transfer rate with the integrated services on the Internet. It divides one TCP stream into two flows to use the reserved channel and the common best effort channel simultaneously. BDTE MRG can get extra bandwidth without violating the minimum guaranteed rate so that it applies two different flow/congestion control schemes to each flow.
