This paper presents a coupled simulation method for piezoelectric transducers with an attached electric circuit. By working with the electric charge, the modified nodal analysis approach for circuit simulation is adapted into the standard piezoelectric FEM formulation which maintains the balance of momentum and electric charge for a linear piezoelectric medium. Examples of time-harmonic and transient examples are provided for verification
