An adaptive feedback consolidation algorithm is proposed for the multicast available bit rate (ABR) service in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks. The proposed scheme adapts between speed and accuracy of feedback information. The results indicate that the proposed scheme eliminates consolidation noise while exhibiting a fast transient response
