A service control interface is proposed that can be used for telephony services provided by interworking among intelligent networks (INs), computer telephony, and voice over IP systems, when distributed object technology is used. The IN application protocol is mapped to a common object request broker architecture (CORBA) API, based on a proposed rule. The mapped API was implemented and confirmed by a service example running on an experimental system. To achieve fast and lightweight implementation, the rule uses the capabilities of an existing CORBA platform as much as possible
