A new multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system is proposed. In this system, both frequency and time diversity can be obtained by using divided spreading sequences and a Rake receiver. Simulation results show that the proposed MC-CDMA system has a high level of robustness against multipath effects and outperforms conventional MC-CDMA systems. The influence of changing the number of S/P branches and copied data on the average bit error rate is investigated
