The first four-channel 565 Mbit/s FSK transmission experiment at 1.53 mu m is reported based on tunable three-electrode DFB lasers. -44 dBm receiver sensitivity and 5.5 GHz minimum channel spacing have been measured for 10-9 bit error rate.
